AttackIQ Hires Cylance Veteran Pedro Vidal As VP of North America Sales

AttackIQ, a breach and attack simulation (BAS) solutions provider, has hired Pedro Vidal as its VP of North America sales.

Vidal most recently served as VP of global solution sales, VP of western North America sales and VP of global consulting sales at endpoint security provider Cylance, which BlackBerry now owns. He also has held sales roles at Intel Security and McAfee and helped these companies drive worldwide solution sales.

Ahead of the hire, AttackIQ has been activate on the partner and funding fronts.

The company in October 2019 partnered with security and risk management consultant The Chertoff Group to deliver Att&ck Diagnostic, a security service designed to help organizations measure risk, train staff and justify investments. Att&ck Diagnostic uses the Mitre Att&ck framework to map threat actors to tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP).

In addition, AttackIQ in June 2019 secured $17.6 million in a Series B financing round led by venture capital firm Khosla Ventures. The Series B funding raised AttackIQ's total financing to approximately $35 million.

A Closer Look at AttackIQ

AttackIQ provides a BAS platform that delivers continuous security validation. The platform helps organizations automate testing of security controls, processes and people and identify and remediate security issues.

Furthermore, AttackIQ works with security vendors via its partner program. It also enables MSPs and MSSPs to use its FireDrill open platform to test and measure the effectiveness of their security controls in customer environments.
