Cisco announces planned list price increases for software and hardware

Cisco Systems is implementing list price increases for a selection of software and hardware products effective Nov. 7, based on information published by CRN.

Tim Coogan, the senior vice president of global partner sales, notified distributors that the adjustments primarily target networking and security software, with average increases in the mid-single-digit percentage range. While the company will also raise prices on a limited set of hardware, specific products were not identified. Coogan characterized the move as a portfolio rebalancing intended to align with market dynamics and ongoing innovation investments.

The changes exclude Splunk technology. Partners are advised to update active quotes for deals currently in progress to account for the new pricing, which will be available in the Cisco Commerce Workspace. This decision follows a year of adjustments to pricing models and contract terms as the company navigates volatile global memory chip shortages and rising component costs. Cisco intends to maintain its standard price protection policies throughout this transition and has encouraged partners to consult with account managers regarding specific impacts. The announcement precedes the 2026 Cisco Partner Summit in Vancouver, providing stakeholders with two weeks to prepare for the shift.
