CrowdStrike has hired McAfee veteran Fernando Quintero as VP of Latin America, MSSP Alert has confirmed. The move comes as CrowdStrike continues to ramp up its partner program worldwide, and also potentially pursues an IPO.
"Partners will be at the forefront of everything we do," Quintero told MSSP Alert this morning during a phone call.
Quintero is well-known and widely respected across the IT channel worldwide. He spent 17 years at McAfee, holding director-, VP- and GM-level positions that involved sales and channel partner engagements.

CrowdStrike develops Falcon, a cloud-based endpoint protection platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to provide threat intelligence and cyber protection.
MSSPs could play a key role in Crowdstrike’s expansion plans. The company’s partner program gained an MSSP designation in August 2018. The firm launched certifications and a Secureworks partnership a few weeks later. Most recently, Dell has been promoting CrowdStrike as part of a partnership with SecureWorks.
