Lacework, Snowflake Expand Cloud Security Partnership

Share

Security teams can access their Lacework cloud security data through the Snowflake Data Cloud, the companies announced. Now, these teams can use Lacework's platform and the Data Cloud to help their organizations measure their security and compliance posture.

In addition, security teams can utilize Snowflake's collaboration capabilities to tap into their data from Lacework and unify this information with the rest of their data stored in the Data Cloud, the businesses noted. That way, they can align security insights from Lacework with contextual data sets in the Data Cloud to get insights into vulnerabilities and hunt for threats.

Lacework and Snowflake "Supercharge" SecOps

Security teams can use Lacework's platform to view their organizations' cloud environments, the company said. The platform lets security teams analyze data from applications, services, users and networks and detect threats, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations and suspicious activity.

Meanwhile, Snowflake’s Data Cloud unifies siloed data. It allows security teams to discover and securely share data.

Together, Lacework and Snowflake "supercharge" security operations, the businesses indicated. They enable security teams to create custom security and compliance dashboards and view their organizations' progress against security objectives.

Security teams can also use Lacework's platform and the Snowflake data lake to retain their organizations' data, the companies noted. They can then access their organizations' data for investigations and to meet compliance requirements.

Lacework Offers Cloud Security Community

The expanded Snowflake partnership comes after Lacework in September 2023 launched the Lacework Community, which provides members with access to cloud security technical resources.

Lacework Community members can access discussion forums with documentation, a knowledge base, events and coursework, the company said. They also can review cloud security documentation or get guidance from Lacework engineers and industry peers.

A Closer Look at Lacework
