Managed Security Services Provider Morning News: 30 November 2017

9. Cyber World Wars: A group of NATO allies are considering a more muscular response to state-sponsored computer hackers that could involve using cyber attacks to bring down enemy networks, Reuters reported.

8. DistributionInnovix Distribution of Asia has agreed to distribute SK infosec's managed security services in Singapore. SK infosec is based in Korea.

7. Partner Program: Duo Security has launched a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and invitation-only Security Solution Provider program in the United Kingdom. The program is already available in U.S.

6. Partner Program Part Two: Accellion Inc., which develops a platform to securely share sensitive information with the outside world while maintaining the controls and visibility needed to demonstrate compliance, has launched a new partner program.

5. AWS Integrations Part One: Splunk has unveiled new integrations with Amazon's Kinesis and GuardDuty. The net result? Splunk is playing a growing role in how service providers and customers safeguard AWS data.

4. AWS Integrations Part Two: AlgoSec has integrated its Security Management Solution with Check Point’s vSEC for Amazon Web Services (AWS). The combined solution provides security and compliance across public and hybrid cloud environments, the companies claim.

3. Financing for MSSP Push: Terbium Labs, a dark web intelligence company, today has raised $6 million in financing led by Glasswing Ventures, bringing the total raised to $15 million. Terbium Labs will use the new funding to extend its geographical footprint, bolster channel relationships with MSSP partners, and continue to innovate on Matchlight, a private dark web data monitoring system, the company says.

2. Cyber MSP Momentum: VirtualArmour, an MSP and cybersecurity consulting firm, says revenues for the nine months ended Sept. 30 were $8.6 million, up 26 percent from the corresponding period last year. Hardware, software and associated support services surged 27.5 percent, while managed and professional services grew 20.7 percent.
