The Fusion Center is a 6,000-square-foot, Chicago-based cybersecurity command center that serves as the central hub for Trustwave's Advanced Security Operations Centers (ASOCs), according to a the company. It deploys actionable threat intelligence to identify and eliminate cyber threats across an organization's endpoints.
How Does the Fusion Center Work?
The Fusion Center uses a three-tier model that encompasses the following cybersecurity capabilities:
- Advance Response and Containment: Provides technical analysis such as malware signatures, payload delivery methods and threat trend correlation to accelerate threat containment and breach triage.
- Continuous and Proactive Threat Hunting: Combines Trustwave's threat intelligence with big data analytics and machine learning to quickly detect and address cyberattacks.
- Forensic Investigations and Reverse Engineering: Uses forensic investigations and reverse engineer malware to identify elusive advanced persistent threats.
Furthermore, the Fusion Center provides hybrid cyber range training and real-world threat simulation exercises, Trustwave indicated. It is backed by SpiderLabs' team of ethical hackers, advanced researchers, threat hunters and incident responders who will investigate cyber threats and escalate threat analysis as needed.
The Fusion Center also provides on-premise and remote cybersecurity training curricula, according to Trustwave. It enables participants to earn certifications and accreditation in penetration testing, data forensics, incident response and other cybersecurity fields.
Trustwave Announces Cybersecurity Consulting Practice
In addition to the Fusion Center, Trustwave in April unveiled the Detection, Analytics and Response Consulting (DARC) practice at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, California. The DARC practice helps organizations improve their security capabilities and keep pace with evolving cyber threats.
The DARC practice allows organizations to leverage Trustwave's managed security services to plan, build and optimize their threat detection and response operations, Trustwave noted. It enables organizations to leverage a co-managed or hybrid operating model to access threat intelligence, identify and isolate threats and mitigate breaches quickly.
Trustwave provides compliance, threat and vulnerability management services to organizations around the world. It also partners with Carbon Black, Fortinet and other cybersecurity technology providers to help organizations combat cybercrime, protect their sensitive data and minimize their security risks.
