A. Today’s MSSP Alerts

1. Integration - MSSP and Endpoint Threat Protection: Netsurion is integrating Deep Instinct endpoint security into the EventTracker threat protection platform. The partnership "significantly bolsters Netsurion’s ability to provide the four layers of the predict, prevent, detect, and respond cybersecurity model to all elements of a corporate network," the company says. 2. Integrations - Online Marketplace: Applications from Illumio, Obsidian Security and SecurityAdvisor are now available in the CrowdStrike Store.

3. Partner Program - SOCaaS and MDR: Agile1, a SOC-as-a-Service provider, is expanding channel partner programs in North American, The UK and EU for MSPs, VARs and solution providers. The partner program includes SOCaaS and MDR (Managed Detection and Response) capabilities as a white-label solution.

4. Managed Data Protection Services - Office 365: InteliSecure has launched a Managed Data Protection Service for Microsoft 365, powered by Aperture. The result: Aperture connects to Microsoft 365 data protection capabilities via the Graph API and supports Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud App Security (CAS). Aperture gives InteliSecure greater visibility for more effective triage, analysis and response as an extension of its clients' security teams, the company says.

5. Funding - Threat Intelligence and Response: Cyware has raised a $10 million Series A round to enhance its threat intelligence automation, threat response, and security orchestration solutions. The round was led by the Prelude Fund (the venture practice at Mercato Partners), and Tanium, a provider of unified endpoint management and security. Cyware's seed investors, Emerald Development Managers and Great Road Holdings, also participated in the round.

6. Funding - Password Security: Keeper Security has raised $60 million from Insight Partners, a venture capital and private equity firm. Insight Partners also owns stakes in Kaseya, Darktrace, Inky, Mimecast, Perimeter 81, Recorded Future, SentinelOne and Veeam, just to name a few.

7. Funding - SASE: Ananda Networks, a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding from MizMaa Ventures, Citrix Systems, Gefen Capital, Cyber Mentor Fund, GreatPoint Ventures, South Korean cybersecurity firm Jiran, J-Ventures, and individual investors. Ananda develops Secure Global LAN (SG-LAN), a cloud-managed service that allows organizations to create their own private networks, connecting any users, devices, and cloud services anywhere, the company says.

8. Talent & Education - Security Training: Fortinet is integrating its Network Security Expert training and certification curriculum with IBM’s SkillsBuild, a digital platform for users to develop technology and professional skills, including cybersecurity.

9. Talent - Network Security Policy Management: FireMon has named Brian Keets as chief revenue officer (CRO).

10. Talent - MSSP: ITC Secure, an MSSP and Microsoft Partner backed by C5 Capital, has named Mark Weait as the company’s chief revenue officer (CRO).

11. IT and OT Device Security: Tenable.ot 3.7 and Nessus Professional now allow organizations secure both IT and operational technology (OT) devices in converged environments, the company says.

12. Bot Attack Mitigation: Auth0, ab identity platform for application teams, has launched Bot Detection, a new security feature that reduces the effectiveness of a credential stuffing attack by as much as 85%, with minimal impact on user experience.

13. Cyber Insurance - Florida: Coalition's cyber insurance is now available on an admitted basis in Florida following approval from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, the organization says.

14. GDPR Lawsuit: A consumer privacy campaign group has filed a lawsuit against American companies Salesforce and Oracle over an alleged breach of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation laws, InfoSecurity Magazine reports. The Privacy Collective claims that the companies collect users' personal data without proactive user consent and then auction it off to other companies without users' knowledge.

15. Research - Security Team Coordination: Sixty-two percent of blue teams have difficulty stopping red teams during adversary simulation exercises. Respondents named threat detection, incident response and flexibility/openness to change while working remotely as the top three areas that blue teams must improve upon, Exabeam research reveals.
