E78 Taps CyberMaxx to Strengthen MSSP Capabilities

AI-Powered Zero Trust Endpoint Security System Amidst Digital Network, Futuristic Cybersecurity Architecture Concept

E78 Partners is expanding its presence in the managed security space through a new partnership with MDR provider CyberMaxx, Channel Futures reports. The agreement gives E78 more flexibility in how it delivers managed detection and response services, allowing it to operate as either a reseller or an agency, depending on client needs. This move supports E78’s broader strategy of delivering bundled advisory and managed services to private equity-backed companies and other clients with complex security requirements.

The deal positions E78 to play a more active role as an MSSP by giving it access to CyberMaxx’s established threat detection and response infrastructure. E78 can offer clients MDR alongside its own services, like endpoint lifecycle management and procurement, in a single, streamlined package. Alternatively, it can act as a connector, enabling direct relationships between CyberMaxx and end customers when that structure makes more sense. The flexibility of the model makes it easier to meet a range of partner and customer demands.

CyberMaxx, which recently acquired Cybersafe Solutions and onShore Security, is growing its reach across the MSSP landscape. It works with tech service distributors like Intelisys and Telarus and is increasingly supporting partner-led sales motions. The E78 partnership fits into this expansion, bringing an advisory-led entry point for CyberMaxx into private equity and mid-market segments where traditional channel models may not apply.

For E78, the CyberMaxx deal is part of a steady build-out of its tech services portfolio. The firm has moved beyond its financial advisory roots, adding software, telecom, and cloud capabilities through acquisitions and strategic hires. Cybersecurity was the next logical step.
