VMware, now under Broadcom, is significantly enhancing its partner ecosystem through new financial incentives, expanded training programs, and strategic investments, according to a CRN report. These initiatives are designed to equip partners with advanced skills and resources to address evolving customer needs in areas like VCF, vSAN, and AI.VMware is rolling out outcome-based financial incentives focused on VCF and vSAN, moving beyond traditional transaction-based rewards. These incentives aim to reward partners for deeper capabilities and the adoption of new workloads, including VMware Kubernetes Services (VKS), and advanced services like vDefend and Avi. The company is also removing the Knights requirement from its Premier Tier to ensure quality and is enhancing the Knights program with more access to internal experts and dedicated event series. A new Partner Technology Council for the Americas has been established to foster collaboration between VMware, its partners, and professional services on multi-vendor solutions.To address skill gaps, VMware is investing heavily in Hands-On Labs and introducing Fast Track courses for accelerated learning. Furthermore, partner service entitlements, previously limited to strategic accounts, are now available in the commercial segment, with further expansion planned.
