MDR Services Provider GoSecure Acquires Cybersecurity Company Covail

Credit: GoSecure

GoSecure, a managed detection and response (MDR) services provider, has purchased cybersecurity and digital optimization company Covail. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 791 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2021.

Covail will expand in the hopes of making Central Ohio a major U.S. cybersecurity operations center, CEO Matt Wald said. The company also will maintain its existing partnerships and explore new ones.

A Closer Look at Covail

Covail provides solutions to help organizations reduce cyber risk, increase efficiency, become more resilient than ever before and grow their digital operations, the company said. It offers a variety of cybersecurity solutions, including:

  • Governance, Risk and Compliance Assessments: Allow Covail's security experts to assess the maturity of an organization's cybersecurity program and prioritize and address security gaps.
  • Offensive Exercises: Include penetration testing, Red Team engagements and other security exercises to help organizations develop and optimize their cybersecurity programs.
  • Threat Intelligence Exercises: Help organizations identify cybersecurity program improvement areas.

GoSecure's MDR Funding

The Covail acquisition comes after GoSecure in December 2020 added $35 million in a Series E funding round. GoSecure is using the funding to expand its MDR market presence, the company said.

GoSecure offers the Titan MDR platform, which delivers predictive multi-vector detection, prevention and response to counter cyber threats. Titan offers a detection to mitigation speed of less than 15 minutes, according to GoSecure.

Meanwhile, GoSecure partners with MSSPs and MSPs. It offers a partner program that lets MSSPs and MSPs integrate Titan into their portfolios.

GoSecure, a managed detection and response services provider, buys cybersecurity & digital optimization company Covail & plans to expand its US presence.
