Carbon Black Expands IBM Pact, Unveils Predictive Security Cloud

Carbon Black has integrated its CB Response endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution with the IBM Resilient Response Orchestration Platform. The integration allows both Carbon Black and IBM Security users to incorporate endpoint data from Cb Response into the Resilient platform, according to a prepared statement.

With the integration, security operations centers (SOCs) can automate remediation tasks and orchestrate critical incident response activities, Carbon Black stated. The integration also ensures that security teams can keep pace with evolving cyberattacks, Carbon Black said, and respond to incidents faster than ever before.

In addition to the CB Response-Resilient platform integration, Carbon Black and IBM recently have worked together on a number of offerings, such as:

  • Continuous Monitoring and Threat Response: IBM Security utilizes Cb Response and Cb Defense, Carbon Black's antivirus and threat protection software, to deliver managed and consulting services to organizations worldwide.
  • QRadar: The Carbon Black App for IBM QRadar provides a turnkey solution for integrating Carbon Black's products with IBM Security intelligence technology, providing organizations with a single pane of glass to detect and respond to security alerts.
  • BigFix: Security professionals can use BigFix, IBM's systems management software, and Carbon Black to disrupt cyberattacker behavior using a closed-loop endpoint security and management system.

Also, Carbon Black this week unveiled its Predictive Security Cloud at its Cb Connect user conference in San Francisco, the company said in a prepared statement.

Cb Predictive Security Cloud is a predictive, big data cybersecurity platform that helps organizations anticipate and prevent future and unknown cyberattacks, according to Carbon Black. It is built on a cloud-scalable architecture, Carbon Black indicated, and consolidates endpoint data in the cloud for analytics to help safeguard organizations against both malware and non-malware attacks.

Carbon Black Eyes Global Expansion

Founded by former members of a team of U.S. government offensive security hackers, Carbon Black offers endpoint security solutions that are designed to protect organizations against advanced cyberattacks. Carbon Black today protects more than 13 million endpoints and continues to explore ways to extend its global reach.

Meanwhile, Carbon Black in May launched the Carbon Black Enterprise Response Cloud EDR solution in Europe. The solution enables European Union organizations to find, investigate and mitigate malicious activities on enterprise hosts and servers, Carbon Black stated.
