SecureWorks, a Dell Technologies company and Top 100 MSSP for 2017 that offers advanced threat protection, compliance management and other managed security services, has inked a partnership with government IT solutions provider Carahsoft to deliver public sector data protection solutions.

With the partnership, the two companies will leverage real-time threat intelligence to help government agencies and schools prevent security breaches and protect critical data and systems, the companies assert.

The partnership ensures government agencies and schools can gain visibility into the cyberattack landscape, SecureWorks Director of North American Public Sector Steven Rich said. It also enables these organizations to identify and mitigate potential cyber threats in all areas of their IT infrastructure, Rich noted, and protect their sensitive data.

SecureWorks and Carahsoft Partnership Details

SecureWorks and Carahsoft together will offer cybersecurity solutions that enable public sector organizations to meet and exceed compliance regulations, SecureWorks stated. Furthermore, the companies will empower government agencies and schools to adapt their security policies, procedures and infrastructure to defend against increasingly advanced cyber threats.

Carahsoft partners now can offer SecureWorks solutions to government agencies and schools, according to a prepared statement. They can integrate these solutions with third-party products to analyze event feeds from security devices running on client premises or in the cloud, and help public sector organizations maximize their cybersecurity investments, the companies said.

Carahsoft will resell SecureWorks solutions to government organizations and schools via Carahsoft's GSA Schedule 70 and NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP V) contracts. It also will distribute SecureWorks' solutions via the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) Value Point cooperative purchasing contract, California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) and other state-specific contract vehicles.

SecureWorks and Carahsoft: Here's What You Need to Know

Since 1999, SecureWorks has provided managed security services to organizations around the globe. The company today supports more than 4,400 customers and operates four counter threat operations centers that process up to 240 billion cyber events daily.

Carahsoft serves as a master government aggregator and supports MSSPs, value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators (SIs) and consulting partners. It is committed to helping government agencies "select and implement the best solution at the best possible value," the company said, and continues to explore new partnership opportunities.

In addition to the SecureWorks partnership, Dell this week named Carahsoft as a Federal Distributor for its product line. The agreement ensures Carahsoft partners can market, sell and distribute Dell servers and networking, client, security and storage solutions.
