14. Cyberattack Cleanup Costs: A March 2019 cyberattack that paralyzed Norsk Hydro's computer networks will cost the aluminum maker up to 450 million Norwegian crowns ($52 million) in the first quarter, Insurance Journal reports.

13. Talent: Bishop Fox, an offensive security testing firm, has hired Ken Green as VP of product management. This is Bishop Fox's second major hire in recent months. The other was Jon Rose as its VP of managed security services.

12. Talent: Interface Security Systems, a provider of cloud-based, managed physical and cybersecurity services, has hired NTT veteran Brent Duncan as the company's first chief revenue officer (CRO).

11. BIOS Security:  CrowdStrike's endpoint protection platform, called Falcon, now provides continuous monitoring that extends to the firmware level. To do so, Falcon collects details on BIOS images and configuration, and delivers enterprise-wide firmware visibility via the cloud-native Falcon Platform console. In addition, through an integration with Dell SafeBIOS, CrowdStrike enables enhanced detection for BIOS/firmware based threats on Dell systems, the companies say.

10. Automated Deployments: Qualys has launched a new Cloud Agent Gateway (CAG), an extension of its Cloud Agent Platform that simplifies large-scale deployments across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments, the company says.

9. Partner Program: WatchGuard Technologies has expanded its WatchGuardONE partner program with specializations for Network Security, Secure Wi-Fi and MFA (multi-factor authentication).

8. Partnership - DLP & EDP: Veristor Systems Inc. and Digital Guardian are partnering to deliver next-generation data loss prevention (DLP) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) to organizations looking to protect sensitive data from all forms of security threats, the two companies say.

7. BlackBerry Security: Blue Cedar has unveiled Blue Cedar Accelerator for BlackBerry, which enables organizations to quickly, easily and continuously integrate the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK's into their mobile apps, without the need to write any code, while still maintaining security and other critical controls, the companies assert.

6. MSSP - Middle East: Saudi Arabia's Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) has expanded its managed security services with monitoring, threat detection, incident handling, and management capabilities.

5. Managed Detection and Response: CriticalStart is developing a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service for Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).

4. FireEye Financial Results: FireEye's Q1 2019 revenue was $211 million, up 6 percent from Q1 of 2018, the company said yesterday.

3. Funding: DivvyCloud, a provider of security and compliance automation for public cloud and container infrastructure, has raised $19 million in new funding led by Providence Strategic Growth with follow-on investments from existing investors MissionOG and RTP Ventures.
