4. Symantec Under Pressure: Symantec has named three nominees of Starboard Value LP to the Norton anti-virus software maker’s board, barely a month after the activist investor took a stake in the company to push for a change, Reuters notes.
3. Managed Network Security Services: Immedion, a provider of cloud, data center and managed IT services, has launched the Immedion Next Generation Firewall. It features fine-tuned web content filtering, network-based antivirus that is updated hourly, and configured IPS and data leak prevention capabilities. A customer-facing portal offers reporting, dashboards and event information.
2. Network Security: WatchGuard Technologies has unveiled a Trusted Wireless Environment framework. The effort seeks to help businesses and solution providers to build WiFi services that offer performance, scalable management and verified security capabilities.
1. Partnership: CrowdStrike will integrate its Falcon platform data with Secureworks’ Red Cloak behavioral analytics and intelligence system. The joint offering delivers in one package an endpoint detection and response solution with applied analytics and intelligence to accelerate investigations, and provides guided remediation steps for more confident response to real threats, the firms assert.
