Technology services group NextGen Group Philippines will provide Filipino organizations with cybersecurity solutions powered by the Stellar Cyber Open eXtended detection and response (XDR) platform.

Jenny Diamzon, managing director of cybersecurity and data resiliency for NextGen, commented on his company's partnership with Stellar Cyber:

"Partnering with Stellar Cyber allows us to provide our channel partners with a cybersecurity solution that combines the best technologies with expertise, capability and an advanced channel services model from NextGen. We are confident that this collaboration will allow us to help our partners and customers navigate the challenges they face with ransomware and cyberattacks."

Open XDR provides NextGen partners with a unified platform that they can use to view their customers' security posture, the company noted. It also provides these partners with threat detection and response capabilities. In doing so, NextGen partners can utilize OpenXDR  to help their customers protect against current and emerging cyber threats.

Provintell Adds Stellar Cyber Open XDR Capabilities to Its Security Portfolio

Along with NextGen, MSSP Provintell has announced it is using Open XDR to deliver Threat Intelligence as First Line of Defense services to Malaysian organizations, according to a prepared statement.

With Provintell's Threat Intelligence as First Line of Defense services, organizations can:

  • Identify their attack surface and data breach and exposure risks
  • Utilize vulnerability management and security validation capabilities
  • Hunt for and kill cyber threats
  • Access threat intelligence
  • Utilize a security orchestration and incident response playbook
  • Receive security threat and vulnerability advisories.

The Threat Intelligence as First Line of Defense services are based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, Provintell stated. As such, they help organizations identify, detect and respond to cyber risks, threats and vulnerabilities.

Stellar Cyber Continues to Expand Globally

The NextGen and Provintell partnerships come after NTT Data Global Solutions, a Japanese information technology services provider and consultant, integrated Open XDR into its internal network and virtual networks.

Open XDR enables NTT to "analyze, detect, evaluate and trigger actions 24 hours a day... for real-time detection of cyber risks," said Junichiro Baba, IT strategy and management group manager for NTT's business strategy promotion department.

Previously, Hitachi Solutions in March 2023 began reselling Open XDR in Japan. Open XDR helps Hitachi's customers protect against cyberattacks and improve their cyber resilience, Hitachi indicated.

Organizations use Open XDR to reduce their mean time and mean time to respond to cyberattacks. Stellar Cyber offers the Jumpstart Partner Program, which enables MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers to incorporate Open XDR into their offerings.
