John MaguireAlienVault has integrated its USM Anywhere platform with ConnectWise Manage. It's the latest in a growing list of managed security-related announcements that will surface this week at IT Nation 2017, a conference hosted by ConnectWise.According to the two companies, the partnership:
"...makes AlienVault USM Anywhere available to ConnectWise technology solution providers (TSPs) within ConnectWise Manage, enabling them to expand their offerings to include threat detection, incident response and compliance management services."
AlienVault has a strong, established track record with MSSPs. John Maguire, VP of business development, has been driving the efforts. The company's USM platform supports asset discovery, vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, behavioral monitoring, and SIEM (security information and event management).ConnectWise, meanwhile, has quietly worked with numerous security companies in recent months, lining up integrations and partnerships with cloud, network, endpoint and security operations center (SOC) companies. Gavin Gamber, VP of channel sales and alliances for ConnectWise, has been key to the security ecosystem buildout, as ChannelE2E reported in May 2017.Many of the new relationships will surface at IT Nation 2017. In addition to the AlienVault integration, Arctic Wolf Networks today unveiled a SOC as a service integration to ConnectWise.
ConnectWise also has dozens of existing managed security relationships with such companies as AppRiver, Cisco Umbrella, Sophos, Webroot and VIPRE, among others.
