AEP's Valkyrie cloud-based file analysis system processes more than 200 million unknown submissions daily, according to a prepared statement. Armed with that data, FocusPoint customers can prevent malware from penetrating endpoints.
Also, AEP places a protective container around unknown files on a website, in a cloud environment or on a local area network (LAN), Comodo CEO Steve Subar indicated. It ensures FocusPoint customers can enjoy full access to files and applications in a secure environment.

With AEP, organizations can block bad files and automatically contain unknown files in a virtual container.
AEP simultaneously removes malware files and ensures legitimate files can run on an endpoint CPU, Comodo stated. It contains unknown files in a lightweight virtual container on an endpoint and analyzes these files in real-time.
Furthermore, AEP uses VirusScope technology to analyze unknown files at an endpoint for malicious behavior and actions, according to Comodo. It also leverages Valkyrie to provide a verdict based on static, dynamic and human analyst interactions in about 45 seconds.
AEP requires about 1 minute to deploy, Comodo pointed out. It has an endpoint footprint of about 10 MB, Comodo said, and provides security for physical and virtual endpoints across enterprises and SMBs.
Comodo, MSi Release a Joint Solution
In addition to its FocusPoint partnership, Comodo last month launched a joint solution in conjunction with cyber defense software company Mission Secure Inc. (MSi). The Comodo-MSi joint solution enables enterprises and government agencies to collect data from information technology (IT) and operations technology (OT)/industrial control systems (ICS) environments and use cyber event and incident management, recovery and remediation in a unified security operations center (SOC), the companies stated.
Comodo today protects more than 200,000 customers and 85 million endpoints worldwide. The company enables managed service providers (MSPs) and MSSPs to use its Comodo ONE IT operating platform to protect customers' systems and data against zero-day attacks and other cyber threats.
