The company will showcase its security services and solutions suite for MSPs at this week's PerchyCon 2020 cybersecurity conference in Tampa, Florida. MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E plan to catch up with Mach at the conference.
CounterAct's suite includes the following security services and solutions for MSPs:
- CounterAct Intelligence Gathering: Helps organizations analyze cyber risks and explore ways to defend against cyberattacks.
- CounterAct Security Ops Command: Provides custom design and implementation of security solutions that help organizations detect, respond to and recover from cyberattacks.
- CounterAct Train, Advise & Manage: Offers access to certified information security professionals who provide training and advisory services.
Furthermore, CounterAct has launched s-MSP Transformation, a program that enables MSPs to earn CounterAct's Secure MSP (s-MSP) stamp of approval to demonstrate their commitment to protecting themselves against cyber risk, the company said. s-MSP also prepares MSPs to develop and monetize white-labeled or custom cybersecurity solutions for their customers.
Mach is well-known in MSP circles. He is president and CEO of Apex IT Group, an IT services provider in the Philadelphia region. Instead of making an overnight leap beyond traditional manage services into the cyber market, Mach spent recent years studying key trends, market needs and services opportunities in the cyber sector.
MSPs Face 'Ever-Increasing Barrage' of Cyberattacks
CounterAct surfaces amid continued third-party attacks against MSPs and their end customers.
Indeed, today's MSPs are susceptible to a "deliberate, systematic and ever-increasing barrage of attacks" from cybercriminals, according to a network traffic report from cybersecurity solution provider Dark Cubed.
All MSPs in the Dark Cubed report experienced both automated and directed network attacks. Also, Dark Cubed discovered that approximately 6.9 percent of network traffic impacting MSPs is related to bots, scanners and hackers.
