Radware is expanding the reach of its AI-powered application and network security offerings through a MSSP agreement with Taiwanese cloud services firm

Taiwan, told MSSP Alert, noting that EPIC also partners with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in Taiwan and offers SaaS platforms like SAP, Delinea, and Asan.
“For customers, EPIC provides not only the cloud platform itself but also related business services, security consulting and operations,” Huang said. “Customers benefit from a one-stop shopping platform and a single support window in Mandarin.”
Through the partnership, EPIC is adding Radware’s Cloud Application Protection Services to its lineup of managed services with the goal of strengthening the security of its cloud-based platform. EPIC’s reach touches on enterprise applications, information security management and control, project software development, and cloud reliability hosting and maintenance.
The collaboration with EPIC comes a month after Radware announced it was
adding four MSSPs to its partner program to grow its U.S. presence.
A Single Platform
Radware offers a single platform for its target application security services including the Israeli company’s web application firewall, bot detection and management capabilities, API protection, client-side protection, and application-layer distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection.
Such protections are becoming increasingly important for companies like EPIC, with enterprises increasingly moving workloads to the cloud and relying on cloud-based infrastructure. Accordingly, threat actors are turning their attention to the cloud.
“Cloud environments have become a critical part of IT infrastructure, making them prime targets for attackers,” Huang said. "Current threats include DDoS and availability attacks, identity and access exploits, data exfiltration and misconfigurations, API abuse, malicious bots, and more. ... Over time, threats have shifted from infrastructure-level attacks to application-centric ones, targeting cloud-native workloads like containers, serverless and microservices.”
Rising Threats
That’s being borne out in the numbers. According to Radware’s recent H1 Global Threat Analysis, the number of DDoS attacks is growing across all layers, including web DDoS incidents jumping almost 40% over the second half of 2024 and often targeting SaaS and multi-cloud applications, she said, adding that “attackers now favor high-frequency, lower-volume campaigns that slip past traditional volumetric defenses.”
In a
blog post earlier this month,
Pascal Geenens, director of threat intelligence at Radware, wrote that the first half of 2025 “demonstrated that cyberthreats are not only intensifying in volume but evolving in technique. From the rise of smaller, AI-driven DDoS attacks to the normalization of app-layer exploitation and automated fraud via bad bots, threat actors are refining their playbooks for maximum persistence and minimal exposure.”
Huang outlined the ongoing evolution of cloud attack methods, from automated bots and tools that scan cloud assets and launch attacks at scale to campaigns combining DDoS, credential abuse, and malware to the spike in DDoS and web defacements by hacktivists.
In addition, attackers are increasingly using AI to refine their tactics, she said. All of this is driven by the rising cloud adoption and
multi-cloud approaches, the expanded use of SaaS and APIs, DevOps, the increasingly speed of application deployment, and
geopolitical conflicts.
The AI Arms Race
There also is the accelerating AI arms race between attackers and defenders.
“Attackers increasingly use AI to generate more sophisticated, polymorphic, and high-volume attacks,” Huang said. “Defenders therefore need AI to simulate attacks, anticipate adversary tactics and provide continuous, adaptive protection. AI is essential in cloud security because it enables dynamic, intelligent, automated defense that keeps pace with rapidly evolving threats, fills gaps left by limited human resources and provides consistent protection across diverse cloud environments.”
MSSPs' Expanding Role
The adoption of multi-cloud environments is putting a focus on MSSPs.
"Enterprises rarely rely on a single cloud provider anymore; they run workloads across AWS, GCP, Azure, SAP, and multiple SaaS platforms,” she said. “This makes cloud environments more complex than traditional IT. MSSPs play a critical role.”
That role includes monitoring multi-cloud logs, events, and threats, providing expert protection and mitigation services, and integrating with cloud security providers to deliver local and customized service, according to Huang.
In addition, MSSPs help organizations quickly remediate threats and also address the ongoing shortage of cybersecurity professions that face enterprises and SMBs.
The MSSP agreement with EPIC isn’t Radware’s only investment in Taiwan. The company also has a cloud security service center in Taipei, which is part of a worldwide network of more than 50 such Radware centers that offers an attack mitigation capacity of up to 15Tbps. The network is used to improve application response times for traffic in their regions and also mitigating DoS and web applications attacks, malicious bot traffic, and attacks on APIs.
