Respond Software, a security operations center (SOC) software provider, has partnered with MSSP Earthling Security to push deeper into the federal government market.

The news comes after Respond in September added 23 MSSP, MSP and value-added reseller (VAR) partners that reach more than 100 customers.

Earthling will integrate the Respond Analyst eXtended Detection and Response (XDR) solution into its managed detection and response (MDR) offering, the companies said.

In the government market, Respond will leverage Earthling's FedRAMP advisory services, and Earthling will operate as the advising Third Party Assessment Organization for Respond's FedRAMP authorization process. In doing so, Respond can fulfill a contract it recently signed to deliver the intelligent decision automation platform for the U.S. Air Force.

Meanwhile, Respond enables Earthling to leverage artificial intelligence for incident response, the companies noted. It also ensures that Earthling can leverage Respond Analyst to automate security monitoring, detection, triage and escalation.

A Closer Look at Respond Analyst

Respond Analyst automates the discovery of security incidents, according to Respond. Security teams can deploy Respond Analyst in hours, and the solution works in combination with security products across a variety of categories, including:

  • Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
  • Security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR)
  • Vulnerability scanning
  • Web filtering

Respond offers a program that allows MSSPs and other channel partners to integrate Respond Analyst into their portfolios. The program lets channel partners use Respond Analyst to automate Level-1 security monitoring, the company indicated.
