Neustar Triples Global DDoS Defense Network Mitigation Capacity

Neustar, a real-time information services provider, has tripled its global distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation network capacity and reached 4 Tbps across EMEA and Singapore.

In addition, Neustar hopes to achieve its goal of a 10 Tbps global DDoS defense network early next year, the company said in a prepared statement.

Neustar Drives Global Expansion

Neustar this month announced it has expanded its EMEA DDoS mitigation network capacity by 244 percent to 1 Tbps across nodes in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London, according to the company.

Meanwhile, Neustar has doubled its APAC defense network capacity with a 200 Gbps node in Singapore and plans to launch additional large nodes in the near future, the company indicated.

Neustar intends to have 27 nodes distributed across all regions by the first quarter of 2018, the company stated.

That way, Neustar will be able to deliver "unrivaled mitigation capability and network performance to keep  customers protected against any type of DDoS attack," Head of Research and Development Barrett Lyon said in a company statement.

Neustar Introduces Cloud Security Partner Program

Neustar also has been active on the partner ecosystem front. The company in April launched a Cloud Security Partner Program for commercial and cloud security services providers.

With the Cloud Security Partner Program, channel partners can provide Neustar's domain name server (DNS), DDoS mitigation and IP intelligence services to customers, the company noted.

The Cloud Security Partner Program provides channel partners with a cloud security solutions stack and service level agreements (SLAs), along with training and support, according to Neustar.

Program features include:

  • Automated opportunity registration.
  • Dedicated partner account executives.
  • Go-to-market plans.
  • Marketing assets.
  • Market development funds.

The Cloud Security Partner Program also helps channel partners capitalize on the increasing demand for cloud security and infrastructure services to drive revenue growth, Neustar Vice President of Worldwide Channels Lee Finck said in a prepared statement.
