Stanley Security has launched a new managed security services program to cement a headlong push into services for its lineup of security products, software and integrated systems.
The initiative, which includes a new mobile security automation app, is tied to Stanley’s IntelAssure program that automates detection of system-level problems, provides diagnoses and recommends fixes. The program is built on Viakoo’s intelligent automation platform that features three ascending levels of products and services, ranging from proactive to preemptive to predictive technologies.
Stanley Security operates as a wing of Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK) the Fortune 500 parent company whose name is best recognized as a manufacturer of industrial tools and hardware. The business unit intends to promote its technical services expertise, said Kyle Gordon, Stanley’s sales and marketing vice president. “Our technology specialists can detect and diagnose threats in near real time and execute the needed security fix while the customer stays focused on their business,” he said.

Stanley’s new Camera Firmware Update Manager (CFUM) is the centerpiece of the company’s portfolio of automated detection products and services. The software identifies where hackers can infiltrate a vulnerable surveillance device, updates unprotected devices and safeguards against malware infiltrating a company’s network.
“We know that cybersecurity is a growing business need,” Gordon said. “Our Camera Firmware Update Manager proactively detects cyber issues within a company’s security infrastructure so that our Customer Success Team can then make cyber hygiene updates across a global network of devices with the simple click of a button,” he said.
